McKinney is accepting a second round of Community Development Block Grant applications for fiscal 2026–27, with submissions due Oct. 21. The city lists Oct. 1–2 as the window for letters of intent from interested applicants.
This round is for eligible projects, rather than grants to individuals. Public-service proposals are excluded. Potential uses include housing rehabilitation and acquisition, accessibility improvements, neighborhood revitalization, public facilities and certain commercial rehabilitation work.
Applicants must meet with city staff before submitting. The city says its ZoomGrants portal opened at 5 p.m. Oct. 1; first-time applicants need an account to access it.
