Final Inning Pressure
Andres Munoz secured the victory for the Seattle Mariners by recording the save in the final inning. The closer pitched one inning, allowing no earned runs while striking out two batters. Although he walked one hitter, his performance helped preserve the team's narrow lead over the Houston Astros at Daikin Park.
The Mariners finished the game with a 3-2 win, improving their season record to 59-66. The Astros, who played as the home team, dropped to 63-62 in the standings after the loss.
Scoring Sequence
The game featured four home runs, with scoring spread across four different innings. In the top of the first, Seattle's Arozarena hit a 365-foot home run to left center, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead. Houston responded in the bottom of the third when Canzone singled to right, allowing Rodden to score and cut the deficit to 2-0.
The Astros tied the game temporarily in the fourth inning when Peña hit a 369-foot home run to right. Seattle re-established its lead in the top of the sixth when Raleigh homered to left for 327 feet. Houston answered immediately in the bottom half of the sixth as Allen hit a 387-foot home run to left, making the score 3-2.
