The Houston Texans have announced the signing of tight end Louis Hansen to their roster. This marks Hansen's second time with the team; he initially joined the Texans in June but was waived in late July.
Hansen, who went undrafted in April, previously played two years at the University of Michigan and three years at the University of Connecticut. During his college career, he recorded 46 receptions for 463 yards and four touchdowns over 40 games.
Currently, the Texans' tight end roster also includes Dalton Schultz, Foster Moreau, second-round pick Marlin Klein, Cade Stover, Brevin Jordan, and Layne Pryor. No corresponding roster move was needed to accommodate Hansen's signing.
