Offensive Outburst

Pete Alonso delivered a decisive offensive performance, hitting two home runs to lead the Baltimore Orioles to a 10-5 victory over the Texas Rangers on Sunday. The Orioles, who were the visiting team, established an early lead that the Rangers could not overcome despite some late scoring attempts.

The game began with Baltimore taking control in the first inning. After Beavers reached on an infield single to first base, Alonso drove him in to make it 1-0. Taveras followed with a double to right field, scoring Beavers and extending the advantage to 2-0.

The Orioles added to their lead in the second inning when Cowser homered to center field, putting Baltimore up 3-0. Shortly after, Alonso connected again, this time to left field, driving in Henderson to push the score to 5-0.

Rangers Rally and Orioles Extend

The Texas Rangers responded in the third inning with a three-run surge. Nimmo homered to center field, scoring both Langford and Duran to cut the deficit to 5-3. However, Baltimore quickly regained momentum in the fourth inning. Alonso completed his two-homer game with a blast to left-center field, scoring Henderson once more to restore a four-run lead at 7-3.

The Orioles continued to apply pressure in the sixth inning. O'Neill homered to center field, bringing home Holliday to make the score 9-3. The game concluded in the ninth inning with additional runs for both sides.

Cowser walked, allowing Beavers to score for Baltimore, making it 10-3. For Texas, Lopez tripled to center field to score Cauley, bringing the score to 10-4. Duran then grounded out to third base, allowing Lopez to score the final run of the game.
